Plein Air Writing - What is it?

Poem in Two Voices -

Biopoem - A biopoem is a poem that describes a person/concept in 11 lines. There is a specific formulat to use when writing a biopoem.

I-Search Paper - The I-Search paper is designed to teach the writer and the reader something valuable about a chosen topic and about the nature of searching and discovery. As opposed to the standard research paper where the writer usually assumes a detached and objective stance, the I-Search paper allows you to take an active role in your search, to experience some of the hunt for facts and truths first-hand, and to provide a step-by-step record of the discovery.

Multi-Genre Research Paper - Is a collection of pieces written in a variety of genres, informed by your research on a particular subject, that presents one or (more likely) more perspectives on a research question or topic. A multi-genre paper is personal, creative, and can’t be copied from some other source. It involves you, as a writer, making conscious decisions about what information is important and how it should be presented to the reader.

RAFT - Role/Audience/Format/Topic - is a writing strategy that helps students understand a topic from different perspectives. The R.A.F.T. strategy provides a focused writing assignment and encourages students to analyze the content while assuming different roles and addressing different audiences. The strategy motivates students by allowing for choice and involving them in the topic in a personal way.
